I’m Dr. Colleen Fisher—a social work researcher, teacher, lifelong learner, social justice advocate, and traveler. I’m interested in health equity (particularly the intersection of poverty, health, and gender), building Global North/South partnerships, and preparing university students to be global citizens. My work explores participatory, visual, and capacity-building approaches to assessment and evaluation as well as strategies to make research findings accessible to citizens and stakeholders. I started this site to create a space to blog about my experiences, share my love of global research and teaching, and highlight the amazing organizations and partnerships that have made my international projects possible. You can read more about my work on UAB faculty page and on Research Gate.
